Miscellanous Bits n Pieces

Camille Rose Garcia’s “Phantasmacabre” at Corey Helford.

Currently on view at Corey Helford Gallery in Los Angeles, California is artist Camille Rose Garcia’s splendid looking solo show entitled “Phantasmacabre.”

Camille’s visual gifts are treasures to behold, their bright colors and surreal themes are a delight to the senses.  Invented from influences such as William Burroughs’ cut up writings, surrealist films and vintage Disney cartoons, Garcia’s artwork acts as critical commentaries on the failures of capitalist utopias, blending nostalgic pop culture references with a satirical slant on modern society.
